Sophie's Legacy

I set up Sophie's Legacy charity after Sophie died aged 10 from cancer in September 2021. Before she died she wrote a bucket list with some things she wanted to change in her memory.

As her mum I have dedicated all my time to support families in hospital, feeding over 400 families every week, providing transport, clothes, food, toiletries, birthday parties or anything the family needs during their stay in hospital. We are doing all of this alongside campaigning with the government and NHS to make national changes.

Sophie made it clear what she wanted and we're aiming to complete her bucket list for her. The money will go a long way to supporting families in hospital. Many families are struggling financially and when their child becomes unwell it puts added pressure.

Our aim is for families to worry about their poorly child not how can they afford to eat or get home.
